Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1catholicvoice has lived in Florida since 1969. He has two grown children . He earns his living as an educator. While raised a Roman Catholic, his  family descends from Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, and Holiness traditions. He converted to Old Catholicism in January 2006, and now pastors Holy Angels Catholic Community – CCI in Central Florida. The title of this blog 1catholicvoice reflects his desire to share his spiritual journey through daily reflections on readings taken from portions of the Liturgy of the Hours.
